  3. Velocity Limit: Markers must be chronographed before the tournament and must not exceed a set velocity limit of 285. Random chronograph checks may occur throughout the tournament.
  4. Safe Zones: Clearly marked safe zones (staging area, dead box) are off-limits for shooting. Markers must be made safe before entering these areas.
  5. Physical Contact: Physical contact with opposing players is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
  6. Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Any form of cheating, intentional rule breaking, abusive language, or aggressive behavior towards players, referees, or staff will result in penalties ranging from point deductions to disqualification. The head referee's decision is final.
  7. Intoxication: Players under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to play and may be asked to leave the premises.
  8. Insurance/Waivers: All participants must sign a liability waiver before participating. It is recommended that players have their own personal insurance.

II. Game Play Rules

  1. Game Start: Games will typically start with players positioned at designated starting points. A clear signal (e.g., whistle, air horn) will indicate the start of the game.
  2. Elimination: A player is eliminated when a paintball fired from an opposing player's marker breaks and leaves a visible mark on the eliminated player or their equipment.
    • Marker Hits: A direct hit on a player's marker does eliminate the player.
    • Ricochets/Bounces: A hit from a paintball that has clearly bounced or ricocheted off an object or another player does NOT count as an elimination.
    • Self-Inflicted Hits: If a player shoots themselves or a teammate, they are eliminated.
  3. Surrender Rule: There is no surrender rule.
  4. Wiping: Intentionally wiping or removing paint from oneself or their equipment to avoid elimination is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate elimination of the player and potentially a penalty for their team. Referees will have the final say on whether wiping occurred.
  5. Dead Man Walking: An eliminated player must immediately raise their marker above their head and loudly call "Hit!" or "Out!" They must then proceed directly and safely to the designated dead box without interfering with the ongoing game. Talking or gesturing to live players is not allowed.
  6. Game Objective: The primary objective is to eliminate both opposing players and capture the center flag before time ends.
  7. Game End: A game ends when:
    • Both players on one team are eliminated and the flag is captured
    • A predetermined time limit expires (4 minutes).
  8. Communication: Communication between teammates is allowed, but once a player is eliminated, they cannot provide any information to their remaining teammate(s).
  9. Use of Props/Bunkers: Players can use bunkers and other field props for cover, but they cannot intentionally move or dismantle them unless specifically allowed by the field rules.
  10. Paint Checks: If a player suspects an opponent has been hit but not called themselves out, they can request a "paint check" from a referee. The referee will examine the player. If the player is hit, they are eliminated. If no hit is found, the game continues. Excessive or frivolous paint check requests may result in penalties.
