This is not a "nearby" activity — IU Bloomington chapters and clubs charter a day at Coyote Field in Ladoga, about 1.5–2 hours northwest via I-70 and I-74. Plan vans or carpools, pack coolers, and treat it like the adventure it is.
Private airsoft (ages 10+) and paintball (ages 12+) parties start at $40/player with a $50 deposit online. Your group gets exclusive field time, gear included, and a dedicated host for a 2-hour session — scale up to 60 players for large chapter events.
Make it an overnight: ask about camping at the field when you book. Play Saturday, stage food after games, and stay on-site instead of rushing back to Bloomington — the road trip becomes the event.
