The next chapter of our Airsoft story begins this August, and with it, the launch of something special: The COMMANDER Series.
Each FTX event has always been about more than just the fight. It’s about showing up, testing your limits, and sharing the field with others who live and breathe the same love for the game. And now, with the introduction of the COMMANDER Series, we’re dialing that up.
This new series honors the leaders of our community. Not just the most tactical or most decorated, but those who show up with heart, consistency, and commitment to the sport. Every few months, select COMMANDERS will be chosen to lead FTX games, representing factions in a long-term campaign of points, legacy, and respect. Register now and save some money.
The COMMANDER Series is an ongoing league where standout community leaders. Players like Joker, Archfiend, and others take the reins as faction commanders during designated FTX games. These Commanders earn points based on performance, leadership, and the results of each battle. Over time, a legacy of wins, stats, and rivalries will emerge.
And while victory on the field is always a thrill, simply being chosen as a Commander is a win in itself. These individuals are selected for their sportsmanship, history, and positive impact. This is about more than kill counts it’s about character.
Each Commander is assigned a Faction, chosen from our ongoing lore-driven system of lightly themed groups. These factions come with TACSOP uniform guidelines and a loose backstory which is perfect for players who enjoy immersion, but entirely optional for those just looking to run and gun. It’s your game, and you can play it your way and we are all about player choice.
Over time, factions themselves will also accumulate points. That means every FTX matters, for the weekend’s bragging rights and the long-term scoreboard.
Commanders may change factions from one FTX to the next, but the faction’s overall record carries on across years. In the near future, we’ll introduce Faction-specific “Pop-Up” Events, giving even more opportunities to earn points and deepen the story.
Our mission is simple: Grow the sport we love, and build a better player community.
That means good character, sportsmanship, and inclusion come first always. You don’t need to be a Commander to contribute. Help new players, share your gear, clean up after the game, or just keep the vibe fun and fair. Every time you do, you make the field stronger for everyone.
In a world where hobbies can be overrun by toxicity, we choose the other path: Cohesion. Buy-in. Brotherhood and sisterhood on the field.

This upcoming August FTX will be the first official battle in the COMMANDER Series. You’ll see familiar faces stepping up to lead, new banners flying high, and the beginning of a new era of competitive legacy and field camaraderie.

Joker is a living legend in Indiana’s airsoft history. As co-founder of IMPACT and architect of the state’s original airsoft community, he’s helped shape the scene for nearly 30 years. His quiet leadership, mentorship, and ability to move unseen through any terrain make him a force to respect — and a cornerstone of this community’s past, present, and future.
As usual, we encourage you all to register early to secure your patch of the month. We will be awarding FACTION specific patches depending on which team you join. Do you not have a preference? Great!
