Gellyball vs Paintball vs Airsoft: Which Party Is Right for Your Kids?

Quick picks at Coyote Field in Ladoga (~40–45 min west of Indianapolis). Age minimums are not the same as the best first birthday — a 10-year-old can play airsoft; a first-timer often should not.

Start with age plus experience

• Ages 6–9: Gellyball — $30/player
• Ages 10–11, first party or mixed comfort: Gellyball — $30/player (the default)
• Ages 10–11 who have played airsoft or want more intensity: Airsoft — $40/player
• Ages 12+: Paintball or airsoft by preference — $40/player

All packages are private (your group only), 2 hours, gear included. $50 deposit online; balance billed per player at check-in. Groups of 4–60.

Side by side

• Gellyball — soft water-gel rounds, low sting, ages 6+, from $30/player
• Airsoft — plastic BBs, more sting, ages 10+, from $40/player
• Paintball — paint-filled rounds, most sting, ages 12+, from $40/player

Every activity uses a private outdoor field with a dedicated host. The difference is impact: Gellyball is the low-sting first party. Airsoft and paintball hit harder.

Mixed-age families

If younger kids and older siblings share one party, run Gellyball for the whole group. Split into two sessions only if older kids insist on airsoft and everyone meets the age minimums.
